If you’re a poet, you’ve most likely been asked why so much of poetry is gloomy, why poets dwell in darkness. If you responded with a contradiction, then this project should be of interest to you. This forthcoming anthology will focus on poems that treat the theme of happiness.

Consider the sources of happiness, the search for happiness, the degrees of happiness. And because we are not Pollyannas, consider too the loss of happiness.

All submissions must go via Submittable. The required fee of $5 will help defray expenses.

Your submission may include a maximum of 3 poems. Please do NOT exceed 3 poems. And please submit only one time.

Your cover letter should include a third-person, professional bio of 50-75 words.

Unpublished and previously published poems are both fine. If previously published, please provide the name of the journal or book and press right below the poem.

Honorarium: Each contributor to the book will receive one complimentary copy of the anthology. Discounted author’s copies will be available.

We can accept submissions from outside the US but will not be able to mail the honorarium book.
